movie reviews

Can you keep up with the Joneses?
A family moves into a suburban neighbourhood with a motive: to sell things.
This is something that never comes into my mind until I watch this film.
The Joneses - dad Steve (David Duchovny from "The X-Files), mom Kate (Demi Moore), teenage son Mick (Ben Hollingsworth), and teenage daughter Jennifer/Jenn (Amber Heard) are not just any perfect family that you think they are. They are a fake family commissioned by a stealth marketing organization. Their job is to sell the latest luxury products to the neighbours... [I won't spoil the movie here, watch it yourself] This is a really good movie that advice you to be aware of your new neighbours as you never know what's with them and what's their motives. I don't really like the ending part though as it is short and simple. The film also contains a few nudity scenes. Duchovny and Moore pull off quite well in their roles. Some rated this movie badly but I'm giving it a 8/10. Not bad.

First of all, I want to confess I'm not the biggest fan of Angelina Jolie. But she sure looks amazingly cool (but not the blond hair!) in Salt. CIA agent Evelyn Salt(Jolie) is accused as a Russian mole. Salt flees in order to prove that she's innocent. She also fears for the safety of her German-born husband (August Diehl). However, Salt is not just an innocent agent on the run. Salt is, in fact, the spy and her duty is to assassinate the President of Russia on the "Day X". This thriller is jam-packed and refreshing with smart-kicking-hot-ass Jolie as Salt, it is just nice. Yes, it is also a better Bond movie! Overall rating: 9/10
