the last song

The Last Song is the latest Nicholas Sparks' novel that is adapted to a film with the same name after Dear John. Sparks is an amazing family/romance author, that's why I own many of his novels. Many people commented that the book is much better than the movie. I wonder if it is true since I've yet to read The Last Song.
The movie though, is classic and dull.
It starts off with Ronnie and her younger brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman) being sent off by their mom (Kelly Preston) to spend the summer with their dad (Greg Kinnear) at a small beach town in Georgia. Ronnie and her father grew apart after he divorced her mother. Due to that, the piano prodigy turned down the offer to Juilliard music school (without even applying for it) just to piss her parents off. Ronnie and her father's relationship bonded after Ronnie saves turtles' eggs from a raccoon. Ronnie also met a wealthy local hunk, Will (Liam Hemsworth) during her stay.Their romance helps Ronnie to rediscover her music talent. This is Miley Cyrus' first movie that is not related to her Hannah Montana character. Sorry to say Cyrus' fans, but she tried a little to hard for Ronnie's character, making it remarkably pathetic. On the other hand, Hemsworth looks hot shirtless. Both of them look good together though, minus the cheesy parts.
Overall rating: 6/10

OMG!!!! Just checked my results online.
Not to boast about it, but I got brilliant results for my 3rd semester.
Meaning, my overall result for foundation year, ahem,
