Kareena was born in the Sindhi language Babita (born Shivdasani) and Punjabi language Randhir Kapoor in September 1977 to 21 in Mumbai, India. She has an elder sister, Karisma.

She was born into a family who have been involved for generations, including paternal grandfather and Great, Prithviraj Kapoor, grandfather Raj Kapoor, his paternal uncles, Shammi, Shashi, Rishi and Rajiv, as my aunt, Neetu Singh & Jennifer Kendall, Shashi Rishi and women respectively.
